“For all its apolitical, joyful, empty headed zaniness and experimentation, Community is a passionately humanitarian show. Its only religious and political point of view is that all people are good people, and while we often play the roles of villains and stereotypes to each other, it is always an illusion, shattered quickly by the briefest moment of honest connection.” — Dan Harmon, creator of Community, prior to NBC replacing him. “When you find that one person who connects you to the world, you become someone different, someone better. When that person is taken from you, what do you become then?” — Reese

Erol Osman - Avengers Assemble
Yep, if you live on Mars or if you wake up from a two thousands years nap, this weeks is the Avengers week. Hope the movies is good, I’m not convinced for now. Hopefully I can count on geek-artists all around to cheer me up if the movie sucks ! Let’s begin with Erol Osman and his all vector illustration…

Kids, in the summer of 2012 your aunt Robin decided to join The Avengers.

Biking alongside her. Purely coincidental. Didn’t acknowledge her. She didn’t notice. We rode for awhile. “We” has no meaning here. She meets a friend. They reminisce for a bit. Still there. She hasn’t noticed. Commence walking the bicycle. Her friend exits. No longer invisible. “Have you been here this whole time?” she wonders. “Oh, I didn’t see you there!” Clearly a lie. Walking continues. A commercial center is reached. I give her a side hug while pondering, “What’s an ideal hug? Like this?” And she replies, “Nope, too much.” I laugh and say, “Show me then.” Perfect hug ensues and I try to match it to no avail. More strolling. She stops and states, “I’m hungry. Let’s eat something.” Somehow possible work is discussed, so I start listing off stores as the slumber ends.

“Don’t get me wrong. I don’t take anything for granted, but it seems like the better I play, the more attention I get. And I can’t get away from it. You play great, you get attention. But I hate attention. It is weird. I’m in a bind. The more you win, the more they come…Sometimes it’s too much……..This life doesn’t fit my personality.” — Derrick Rose on fame (GQ Interview)  (via mariamrose)
